BIRTH DOULA & POSTPARTUM DOULA

IMG_0339.jpeg

Sarah-Grace (she/her/hers) is a birth & postpartum doula, pre/postnatal yoga instructor, breast/chestfeeding counselor, child development nerd and all-around birth fanatic. She believes deeply in the strength & wisdom of every birthing person to have the birth of their dreams.

The medical model puts doctors and nurses in charge, disempowers new families, and places an inherent mistrust in the body’s ability to birth. And while she is a firm believer in science and its life-saving technology, Sarah-Grace hopes to incorporate the emotional, spiritual, and otherwise transformative aspects of birth when working with families.

Sarah-Grace works with clients to instill the belief that you and your body know exactly what to do. When it comes to your birth, you are the smartest person in the room and should be treated as such. She supports all reproductive choices, and will never impose an agenda on your birth. Whether you’ve chosen hospital, birth center or home birth — you deserve to feel supported, powerful and loved during this incredible rite of passage.

Sarah-Grace has experience supporting births in all major NYC hospitals, birth centers and at home, with both doctors & midwives. She starts working towards her degree in Nurse-Midwifery this summer.

Beth-150.jpg

Beth (she/her/hers) is a Certified Birth Doula (CHB), Full Spectrum Doula (Cornerstone), Hypnobirthing Doula (HBNY), Lactation Consultant and Childbirth Educator (DTI) based in Brooklyn, NY. By providing honest, non-judgmental birth coaching, current data and information, space holding techniques and a sense of humor, Beth's goal is for her clients to feel joyfully supported, seen, empowered and informed throughout their birth and postpartum experience. She is drawn to this work because of the deep, genuine connection she makes with her clients, and loves to instill joy & confidence as they navigate their childbearing year.

Beth began her work as a doula in 2018, and has since supported dozens of families in all boroughs of NYC, in hospitals, birth centers and at home. She is currently a mentee in Manhattan Birth’s Advanced Doula Mentorship. When she's not supporting families, you could find her flexing her cooking skills, creating labor playlists or watching a stand up comedy show on Zoom. She's been a Greenpoint resident since 2018 (and in NYC since 2016), where she lives with her partner and beloved cat Clover.
